The Lighter Side of ADD

There is no question that the influence of ADD on individuals (and those around them) can range from very mild to severe. Those of us who truly know and understand what ADD is all about realize it gives us special qualities, special creativity, special outlooks within given situations.

Within the entire spectrum of ADD is a special place for laughter, especially amongst ourselves. Humor is healthy. Humor can re-energize us. Humor can give us the strength to pick ourselves up and go on.

To these ends, I dedicate the following collection to those of us who need a little "pick-me-up" whenever the burden is a bit heavy. Simply "Take two or more as needed when the situation warrants it". I also welcome any additions you wish to contribute.

First, and foremost, is Calvin (of Calvin and Hobbes). Calvin is considered the ADD Poster Child by many of us and we were all saddened when Bill Watterson retired after giving us 10 of his most delightful years of Calvin & Hobbes.

Universal Press Syndicate has resurrected the defunct popular comic strip on the World Wide Web. Sorry, the hilarious duo aren't resuming their adventures, but Universal Press Syndicate is posting one old strip each day, starting with the first one from Nov. 18, 1985.

Also, the following "precious tidbits" were extracted over 4 years of being in contact with very creative, intelligent, loving (and funny) friends I met over the 'net. Many were friends from the Prodigy ADD Bulletin Board. These coveted selections are dedicated to all of us as we do what we have to in order to cope with our specialness brought on by ADD.
